Ronda Rousey says third fight with Miesha Tate will still have the same result

The MMA industry should probably get used to Ronda Rousey getting the most favorable bets against her contenders.

Just recently, Rousey had an epic win against Bethe Correia in the UFC 190 main card which was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Rousey won the fight in just 34 seconds and got massive bets in her favor. Some sites had favored on her side as high as 18-1.

The bantamweight champion is now going up against Miesha Tate for the third time, whom she was able to defeat two times using her famous armbar technique. Although there aren’t any formal details yet, Rousey will surely be a crowd favorite once again. The UFC released an information stating that the promotion company is aiming to hold a meeting for the UFC 194 event this coming December.

Joey Oddessa of Oddessa.com is a notable MMA oddsmaker in the industry. He admitted for him, the third battle between Miesha Tate and Rousey will be an 11-1 in favor of Rousey, who will eventually reach the four-fight winning streak. Rousey currently has a record of 12-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC, while Tate has a record of 17-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC.

“Ronda Rousey is a phenom. You don’t see this kind of dominance in sports often. Known for her unstoppable armbar finishes and judo background, she’s been getting praised for her standup skills from past (combat sports) superstars like Mike Tyson,” he further explained.

Miesha TateTrue enough, Rousey’s amazing killer skills were showcased during the UFC 190 event held in HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The fans all witnessed how fast Rousey defeated Correia in merely 34 seconds. During the fight, the bantamweight champion was able to land some powerful knee to midsection moves, which disabled Correia for quite a bit, then proceeded to bombarding the contender with punches. Rousey eventually hit Correia hard enough which sent her face first to the mat, knocking her out.

Rousey’s recent three fights had ended rather quickly as well. She only needed 64 seconds all in all to beat her opponents. Last UFC 175, it took merely 16 seconds to knock Alexis Davis out. This bout had bets as high as 14-1 leaning in her favor. When she went against Cat Zingano last UFC 184, she needed only 14 seconds to be able to secure her signature move- the armbar. The fight, on the other hand, had bets come in her favor at 11-1. This time around, beating Correia at her own game earned Rousey her third TKO finish in her past four bouts since the mixed martial arts bantamweight champion started her career. She had done eight straight armbar victories, with seven of those happening in the first round.

Oddessa further explained how the third fight with Miesha Tate might go down. “Ronda Rousey is still every bit of the 11-1 favorite she was in 2013. They may bet her down to 8-1 or ever lower with the typical gambler ‘value’ argument, but there’s no value in a losing wager. Tate’s a live underdog that won’t win, as I like to call them. The third time won’t be any different,” he said.

There is no official date when this epic fight would happen, but UFC president Dana White said that they are anticipating a blockbuster event, having Tate-Rousey 3 and featherweight champion Jose Aldo and interim titleholder Conor McGregor, all in one event this coming December 3rd.
